Whoops. I just bought a 460ah. We do use our trailer without shore power the majority of the time and lots of winter camping at the ski resorts. Probably could have been just fine with the 300ah. Great test vid!

Thanks for the video Jerry, I have been looking for a compact dash camera and this one is a hit! Installed mine today in our F-350 and am very happy with the size, features, and ease-of-use. The app for my phone is very handy and provides an easy way to access the videos and settings. I used the provided cable and tool to hide the wire and plugged the USB end into our AC power adaptor on the dash AC outlet which powers the camera on/off when the truck is running. Apprectiate you channel and content. Your review on the Active Start is a year old. What is your current assessment? We recently acquired a new fifth wheel with 50 amp. We love state campgrounds of which the majority are 30 amp. We also camp at RV parks which typically offer 50 amp service. Why would I need the 50 amp version, when I only need the soft start on 30 amp, or less. Cost difference is significant. Thank you.

I live in a old travel trailer 1965 model travel trailer and they're all over in here and I can't replace windows in here I've got the same old windows and they come in can it be used for them too. And how would I use the dryer sheets in these type of windows? The old windows where you have to wind them out with the little handle to open and close the windows and their old screens.

Hey Jerry this is my time to see your videos. Man you are a life saver. My sky light started leaking just recently. And low and behold cracks everywhere especially the screws. Im not carperter inclined but i was wondering if when I put the screws back in if i added flat washer along the the sealing if that would help prevent cracking?

I just bought one of these and plan to install this weekend into my 36ft TT. I travel for work and don't always have full hookups so I'll need to plug the trailer into a homemade power station. It has a 200ah/200a BMS battery, this inverter and waterproof 110v and 30a RV plugs. Would have liked to see how warm your cables got pulling that load and if you plan to use a large fuse or circuit breaker in between the battery and inverter.

I was driving by a construction site and seen 6x6 treated pieces. Stopped and asked the man in charge and he gave me enough pieces to make them. Bought some decking at Lowes and 120 screws and the exact handles as your and had about $44 in them. Only made four account already had two for the front feet.

This inverter does not require 120v input, like some other inverters. Correct? Do you know why that is and what the difference is with inverters the use 120v input?

My problem with dash-cams has been that they record in 3 minute segments. I would prefer a continuous recording. Maybe it is a requirement. 🤷‍♀️ Does this one record that way?

I have the VIOFO A129 Pro Duo . I had a shop in Wichita Ks. install it for me about a year ago because I didn’t have the tools to do it myself. It is hardwired in no wires exposed fortunately I haven’t needed it.

Hi Jerry, hope you and your wife are doing well. Haven't seen you much lately on RUclips. Your video years ago about Ocean Grove RV Resort in St. Augustine was the first RV video I ever watched. Still dream of getting there one day and exploring St. Augustine. I agree with the need for a dashcam. I was a part time pizza delivery driver for 4 years here in Tulsa, OK and I always had one up and running. Tulsa is dangerous on a good day and I had dozens of close calls yearly. Be safe this summer, it looks like it is going to be a scorcher.

My first inquiry hit brought this video which addressed exactly my situation. I just replaced a manufacturer RV mattress with a Brooklyn Bedding mattress. Now the OEM lift struts under the mattress won't hold the weight of the new mattress. Now the plan now is to order replacement struts exactly same as shown in video.

Correct me if I’m mistaken, I believe you could have used the propane side of the water heater and you would have hot water again. Obviously you want to fix it though. I only have the propane option on my 6 gallon Dometic. Great video. Thanks.

After seeing your video I just ordered one for my TT. Looking to hardwire a Romex line from the front bay to the rear of the rv through conduit w/weather proof plug near the 30A connection and 110 pigtail adapter. Then run a 12GA 6’ cord when needed. What size Romex should I use for the 25’ run?

Should I buy two LiTime-- 280Ah Low-Temp Protection for $1338 or one 460Ah battery for $1500

The one thing that drives me crazy is I always or most people have to install their inverter upside down. I have never seen a 5th wheel trailer where the batteries were not on the right side. The inverters (any brand) always have their battery connection on the left side. Installing the inverter upside down so the battery terminals are close to the batteries you cannot ready the display. Inverters should have a means to rotate the display screen 180 degrees or remove the inverter housing and turn it around so the display is right side up. : (
